Welcome to Vision Test Now.

Vision Test Now provides online virtual vision screenings specifically for the renewal of New York driver’s licenses. These screenings are not a replacement for a full eye examination. If you have medical concerns or specific eye health issues, you should consult with a local optometrist or ophthalmologist. Our opticians, optometrists, and technicians do not provide medical diagnosis or treatment through this service.

Services Provided

Vision Test Now provides virtual DMV vision screenings for individuals renewing a New York driver’s license. Upon successful completion of the vision screening, results are submitted directly to the New York DMV portal.

We only provide services for New York State DMV vision screenings. We do not provide DMV vision tests for other states.

Eligibility

By using our services, you confirm that:

  • You are located in New York State

  • You are legally eligible to undergo a DMV vision screening

  • You are using the service for a New York DMV-related vision screening only

  • You provide accurate, complete, and truthful personal information

  • You have a valid New York driver’s license or permit available during the appointment

Not a Full Eye Exam

Our DMV vision screenings are limited to testing visual acuity for DMV purposes only. They are not full eye examinations and do not include:

  • Medical eye care

  • Diagnosis or treatment of eye conditions

  • Glasses prescriptions

  • Contact lens prescriptions

  • Dilated eye exams

  • Emergency eye care services

If you are experiencing flashes, floaters, eye pain, sudden vision loss, redness, injury, infection, or any other medical concern, you should seek care from a licensed eye doctor immediately.

Insurance and Payment

DMV vision screenings are generally not covered by insurance. Upon request, we may provide a receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.

Payment is only collected after successful completion of the vision test.

If you do not pass the vision screening, no payment will be charged.

If you miss your scheduled appointment or are unavailable at the appointment time, we reserve the right to charge a missed appointment fee or require rescheduling.

Once the vision test has been completed and the results have been submitted to the DMV, all sales are final and no refunds will be provided.

Scheduling and Appointments

Appointments must be attended on time. You are responsible for ensuring that:

  • You have a working phone, tablet, or computer

  • You have internet access and Zoom installed or available in your browser

  • You have approximately 10 feet of space available for the vision test

  • You have your New York driver’s license available during the appointment

We reserve the right to cancel, reschedule, or refuse appointments due to technical issues, inaccurate information, inappropriate behavior, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Text Messages and Communications

By providing your phone number and email address, you consent to receive communications from Vision Test Now, including:

  • Appointment confirmations

  • Appointment reminders

  • Zoom links and instructions

  • Payment links

  • DMV submission updates

  • Customer support and follow-up communications

Privacy and Security

We are committed to protecting your personal information. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information on how we collect, use, and protect your data.

Limitation of Liability

Vision Test Now is not responsible for DMV decisions regarding your license renewal, driving privileges, or eligibility.

We provide the vision screening service and submit the results to the DMV portal. Final decisions regarding your license are made solely by the New York DMV.

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • DMV system outages or delays

  • Technical issues with Zoom, internet access, or third-party providers

  • Incorrect information provided by the customer

  • Delays in DMV processing times

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

Your continued use of our services after any updates means that you accept the revised Terms of Service.
